There was a girl at the gym today wearing a bra. Not a sports bra. Not some sort of bikini top that crossfit chicks wear. Literally – a maroon bra with the little rings on the straps and the two fasteners in the back that are impossible to undo one handed in the backseat of a car when you’re sixteen and in a hurry.
Me, to a couple of guys: “Hey, you ever go to the gym and forget to wear a shirt?”
High Bar Squat: 45×5, 105×3, 165×2, 225, 275, 325, 345, 365, 375, 385
Partial Squat: #9 475, 545, 580, #10 495, 530, 560, #11 455, 495, 525
I do these Low Bar, powerlifting-style. Also the bottom position squats, and the box squats Wide feet & toes pointed out wide. I don’t think doing high bar partials would be very fun. Also, it keeps me used to heavy weights. At least that’s the theory.
High Bar Squat: 245, 275, 315, 325, 245,250×2, 255×3
There are three reasons (besides general mediocrity) that I drop so low in weight when I do my volume:
- I do these sets supersetted with the RDLs.
- I do them just on a platform with no spotter/no safety rack, and the gym only has the following bumper plates: 20kg, 25lbs, 10 kg, 10 lbs, (most of which I’m using on the RDLs) so I don’t want to have to dump it.
- I’m working on my form, and watching myself in a mirror. No homo.
Bench Press: 45×9, 95×3, 135×3, 175×2, 215, 255, 285, 315, 335, 355, 365; 270,275,280,285,290,295,300,305, 275×2, 280×3
Yup, another lifetime bench PR. More importantly, a girl with great big breasts was working out in her bra today!!
RDL: 135×3, 205×3, 275, 315×3; 225×4, 230×4
Bent Row: 160×5, 175×5
